The new Xbox 360 unveiled

Microsoft have unveiled the newly designed Xbox 360 console with a sleek piano black body reminiscent of the original PS3 design and, like the PS3, now comes with onboard Wi-Fi. Microsoft claim that the new console is “whisper” quiet so hopefully we no longer will have to install all our games to escape the whirling noise of the disc.

Features also include a large hard drive, 250GB which is a cast improvement on the original 20GB but not much else in way of hardware improvements as far as we can see. Pricing is rumoured to be around the $300 mark so expect similar prices here in the UK when it launches in July.

Kinect, previously known as Project Natal, is due to hit shelves in November and matches the new slim Xbox 360 with a black design but will work with all verisions of the Xbox 360; so unless your current Xbox 360 is threatening to do a red circle of death will you be shelling out for this revamped version?
