Well well well, Christmas is sneaking up on us again, and your mind may well be turning to the latest and greatest gadgets that you can get your little paws on this year. To help you out Review Centre has done the hard work and put together our list of the ultimate gadgets that will be weighing down Santa’s sleigh in 2011.
Let’s get started in the high tech wonderment that is the tablet world. A little know American company called Apple released the second generation of their iPad earlier this year and they are still hot property in the market. Weighing in at a hefty £400 (minimum) the big red suited fella should be checking his list thrice to make sure any recipients of this delight have been very, very, very good this year.
Similarly expensive, but newer and shinier is the iPhone 4S. Newly upgraded operating systems and a swanky 8MP camera mean that, despite the disappointment that the iPhone 5 did not arrive as expected, Apple fan boys should still be happy with this latest addition to the club.
However all this touch screen talk has left me with a dilemma. As the nights draw in and the weather gets increasingly cold, how am I going to keep my hands warm and indulge in my penchant for Angry Birds? If only I could invent gloves that would allow me to do both…..oh wait I don’t have to, Isotoner have already done it!
For those who like to keep it old skool. This new teeny, tiny retro Mega Drive from Sega should keep you happy. Not only does it have 10 games preloaded onto it (including classics such as Streets of Rage and Golden Axe!), but unlike other similar products on the market, it has a port that will take all of your old cartridges from the original console. Plus it’s only 37 squids! So get up into the loft, dust off your copy of Street Fighter 2 and bash some buttons!
For the big kid in you (or just for your kids) check out this Air Swimmer remote controlled shark, which looks at least as much fun as it sounds. We dare you not to hum The Jaws music when you first play around with it.
In the meantime the genius that is James Dyson has been at it again, revolutionising an aspect of home products that you may have thought of as long dead. You have seen the Dyson Blade, now meet the Dyson Hot, the ‘fastest to heat the room evenly’, fact! What will he think of next?
Finally, you may have noticed a trend for people wearing Beats Headphones. These nifty high performance headphones, designed by Dr. Dre, are intended to reproduce the music you listen to as close to how the musicans intended. A worthy gift for music and film lovers alike.
